Diane Troup, CPDT-KA
Diane Troup professionally trains puppies and dogs, both in group classes and privately. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA), a member of the Certified Dog Training Professionals, and a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) which provides ongoing educational opportunities. She currently attends the prestigious Academy for Dog Trainers.
Diane apprenticed under Silicon Valley's top trainer, Nancy Weller, for several years. She joined Nancy at A DOG'S LIFE, where she taught classes for four years, and then joined Nancy's company, Pawsitively Fabulous! LLC . Diane now trains for her own company, Pup Star Dog Training and offers classes at Pet Food Express in Los Gatos, Mountain View, Saratoga, and Stevens Creek. She also offers private training.
A Silicon Valley native, Diane worked for seven years as a veterinary assistant, working with veterinarians ranging from general practitioners to specialists in oncology, radiology, and neurology. She then spent a decade working as a firefighter for the City of Santa Clara, as well as being a certified American Heart Association CPR and Basic Life Support instructor. She has also been a volunteer for the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. In 2006, Diane combined her experience and love of animals with her passion for emergency care and started her own company called CParf!. Through CParf!, Diane teaches classes in pet CPR, first aid, and general wellness.
Diane currently lives with her four rescue dogs Sunny, Daisy, Dory, and Tippy, and her very patient cat Zoey.
